SmartPicture bridges the gap in interactive print revolution
Friday 29 May, 2015
In the first instance, SmartPicture was the brainchild of two sister companies – printer Springfield Solutions and media production company Eon Visual Media.

Springfield Solutions is one of the UK’s leading digital label printers and packaging reprographics suppliers to the food, paints & coatings, neutraceutical, chemicals and FMCG markets.

And Eon Visual Media specialises in creating award winning, engaging content including 2D/3D animations, mobile apps, videos, and websites.

But as the app has become more successful and has been adopted by world class sporting clubs such as Hull City AFC and Hull Kingston Rovers, as well as global PLCs including Reckitt Benckiser, it has evolved into its own company, SmartPicture Ltd.

Now, that company has come full circle and is further bridging the gap between the two companies that first came together to create it.

By the introduction of SmartPicture Ltd into the group, the three companies have aligned their services to spearhead the revolution in interactive print – a system that directly links printed material to online content and one that is providing a world of opportunities for advertisers, marketers and label and packaging producers.

Matt Dass, managing director of Eon Visual Media and joint managing director of Springfield Solutions, said the app allowed the two companies to combine their services and offer the latest in interactive print technology.

“SmartPicture makes everything Springfield and Eon do compatible,” he said.

“Springfield supplies the printed media and reprographics, Eon provides the online content and SmartPicture is the bridge that links them together.

“It makes us unique in being able to supply all aspects of interactive print in house, and as a result the client gets a much more streamlined service.”
